You may find that MANY affiliate merchants clearly state that you can NOT make purchases through your affiliate links.

After watching ‘What Super Affiliate’s Want’ yesterday evening, we have made a blanket policy to make sure that our affiliate partners can test their links.

If you wish to test your affiliate partner links, please contact us and we will make arrangements for you to test your link.

You can watch ‘What Super Affiliates Want‘ at the Affiliate Tip Blog. (Though the video is more for educating affiliate merchants.)

I haven’t purchased my tickets yet but I have EVERY intention of making it to Las Vegas this January even if I have to grab a back pack and get there courtesy of  some cheerful Canadian truck driver wishing to talk about country music for 12 hours straight!

So if you are planning to attend affiliate summit then be sure to friend me on the Affiliate summit Ning Network.

Not sure where you will find me (Karrine McFarlane) during the summit yet but I hope to make use of every spare moment meeting everyone since I am otherwise the lone affiliate manager isolated in the cold Canadian North (ok that is an exaggeration).

If you didn’t get your Facebook User ID last Friday, be sure to head over to Facebook and get yours right away.

I have seen a bit of a debate going on over using your real name or Social Media ID as your facebook user ID.

I opted to use my real name ‘Karrine’ though the reason is only because I know there is another Karrine out there who is always snatching the name up before me.  I don’t have a fan page for my blog/s or myself (that seems a little conceited) which means I am no where near the required 1000 user names to obtain a user ID for the non existent group or fan page.

Be sure to think about what user name you want and double check your spelling as there is no going back once you hit that submit button according to Facebook;

“No. Once you have claimed a username by clicking the “Set Username” button, it is not possible to edit it, or to transfer your username to a different account on Facebook. Additionally, when an account is removed from the site, its username will not be made available to other users for security reasons.”

Which reminds me of the time I set up a dating profile and mistyped my user ID. Girlwithabrain means something completely different on a dating site when you type Girlwithabrian !

To see all the Facebook USER ID guidelines check their Facebook User ID notes page.

While you are there stop by Shawn Collins Fan page and become a fan. According to his Affiliate Thing Podcast yesterday he only has just over 200 fans.
